Money spent on Books
This line graph clearly shows the
money spent on books in four countries of Europe (Germany, France, Italy and
Austria) in different years that includes from 1995 until 2005.
First of all, we can see the green
line color that represents Germany, where since 1995 until 1999 the money spent
on books, increased rapidly almost 10 million dollars. However, since 1999
until 2003, money decreased slightly less 10 million dollars. But Germany
recovered again and even increased dramatically since 2003 until 2005.
In second place, we can talk about
the blue line that belongs to France. Just in 4 years (1995-1999) the money
spent increased slightly almost from 55 million dollars until 60 million
dollars.
Then since 2001-2003 the line
remained steady in 70 million dollars. Finally, the line increased gradually since
2003 until 2005 in 5 million dollars more.
In third place, we can see a yellow
line that belongs to Italy. In 1995 started increasing gradually until 1997,
then from 1997 line decreased begins again to 50 million dollars. Finally line
increased gradually, since 1999 until 2005, surpassing 60 million dollars.
And the last country that shows the
graph is Austria. Started in 1995 spending 30 million dollars but increased
rapidly to 40 million dollars in 1999, since that year until 2001, the line remained
constant.
But then have a rapidly increased
since 2001 until 2003 in 20 million dollars. And finally the money spent in
2005 surpassing 70 million dollars.
In conclusion, we can say that
Germany is the country who spent more money on books in a short time as opposed
to the other countries; even if the money decreased still being the first
country where people are worried and interesting in reading.
